On Thursday October 15th, musician Howard Jennings came to the Manchester Community College (MCC) lounge to play for the members of the school during the luncheon hour. There was a good turnout of people whether in between classes, getting lunch, or mostly just listening to Mr. Jennings play his guitar (accompanied by his own vocals). The accessibility made it so that all could enjoy the show even if they were just passing by for a moment.
It was an impressive performance with both old and new music crafted by the talented musician. Mr. Jennings was very excited to be back at MCC at yet another event hosted by our very own Campus Activity Board (CAB). Of the people who attended, student Jory Horne said
“It was a delightful performance, and it showed a lot of the performer’s personality. I am hoping he will return next year with his new C.D. complete.”
Mr. Jennings had hoped to be completed his new C.D. by the time he returned to MCC but unfortunately this year he was unable to. He still was able to play several of his new songs, and had demo discs available of some of his work.
Mr. Jennings music set a pleasant atmosphere as he sang, and he was a very pleasant person himself. Overall it was a very good performance and the audience enjoyed it as well. Mr. Jennings would love to come back to the college again in the future, and we would love to have him back.
